Prayer Request for Leslie Davis Submitted by: Jo Hammon
My brother, Leslie Davis, found out last week he has cancer. He will return to the specialist in Birmingham Wednesday, Oct. 1 to find out what type of cancer it is and what his options are. The cancer is in his eye (which they cannot save) and in his sinus cavity. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
Thank you,
Jo

prayer repuest for Mike Grady and family Submitted by: lpetty
I received this email from my friend Debbie Butler regarding her sister's husband. I asked her if I could add this to our prayer list.
Leigh,
Carol’s husband’s name is Mike Grady. He is in St. David’s Hospital in Austin, Texas in the ICU. On Friday, Aug. 29 he had an emergency appendectomy. A nurse in the recovery room noticed that his eyes were dilated and he had difficulty focusing. An MRI was done and a mass discovered on the base of his brain. It turned out to be an extremely large and invasive pituitary tumor – it had filled his sinus cavity, pushed into his brain, destroyed his pituitary gland, and was pressing against the optic nerve. He had surgery to remove it on Tuesday, Sept. 2. He has been in ICU since and seemed to be doing fairly well, although the doctors are not sure how much of his vision will be regained – it will take as much as 6 months to know for sure. Yesterday he began leaking spinal fluid from his nose. It has not gotten any better and the doctors are now trying to determine whether or not to perform more surgery to rebuild the base of his brain.
Carol and Mike have a three-year-old daughter, Millie. My parents are in Texas, where Daddy is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, Mother is waiting for surgery on her ankle/foot and they are caring for Millie.
Please pray for all of us.
