Bro. Duaine has been our Senior Pastor since 2001. He is known for his expository preaching style and for his love for his congregation. He is a true shepherd to this flock.
Bro. Duaine was born and raised in Scottsboro, graduated from Scottsboro High School, the University of North Alabama, and was a member of the first graduating class of Beeson Divinity School of Samford University. He was licensed and ordained by Center Point Baptist Church of Scottsboro prior to serving for 14 years as pastor at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Deatsville, Alabama.
Bro. Duaine has been married to the former Carol Robbins for over 25 years. Carol is the administrative assistant for the Tennessee River Baptist Association. They have one son, Jonathan, who attends Gadsden State Community College.
Mark Warren - Minister of Music Mark has served as Trinity's Minister of Music since January 1993. "My mission is to lead the believers of the Lord Jesus Christ to worship Him in spirit and in truth and to bring the unbeliever into His presence by the worship of Him through the saints and to glorify the Father which is in heaven," says Mark.
Mark was raised in a Christian home as the son of Carl & Sara Warren. His father Carl was also a music minister. Bro. Mark walked the aisle of First Baptist Church, New Hope, Alabama, at age eight, but was 27 years old before truly accepting Christ as his Savior. He found that "old things pass away and all things become new." The Lord then called him into the ministry, allowing him to lead in worship through song.
Mark graduated from New Hope High School in 1980, then attended Northeast Alabama Community College and the University of North Alabama. He is currently working with Harbin Ford.
Mark is married to the former Kim Collins. Kim is the organist at Trinity. They have two sons, Jacob and Collin, and a black lab named Patches.
Jenetta Hinson - Children's Minister Mrs. Jenetta is Trinity's Children's Minister. She and husband Jerry teach the 2-3 year-old Sunday School class, oversee Children's Ministries such as TeamK.I.D., Children's Choir, Bible Drill, Mission Friends, and many others.
She also serves as Counselor at Brownwood Elementary School in Scottsboro. Jerry and Jenetta have two adult children - Melanie Chandrakasem (along with husband Cassidy and grandson Ty) and Jenny Hinson.
Mrs. Jenetta invites all children to get involved in the Children's Ministry at Trinity.
Martha serves in a crucial capacity in the ministry of Trinity. She is often the first face new members see or the first voice people hear over the phone.
Martha has served as Trinity's secretary since August of 1980 and has worked for six pastors. During her years at Trinity, she has taught Sunday School, Discipleship Training, Missions, and Vacation Bible School.
Originally from Tennessee, Scottsboro has been her home since 1971. She and her husband David are charter members of Trinity. They have two sons - Jeff, a math teacher at Scottsboro Junior High School, and Travis, an Appraiser for the Jackson County Revenue Commissioner's Office and Sports Editor of The Clarion newspaper. She enjoys reading, crocheting, and working with pre-school children. One of her favorite Bible verses is Psalm 118:24, which says, "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."
Paula Crawford - Music Secretary Paula serves as Trinity's Music Ministry Secretary. She loves helping Mark plan music programs, preparing the powerpoint slides for the choir and for the sanctuary, and making sure everything is ready for choir practice on Wednesday nights.
Paula is an Atlanta, Georgia native. She and her husband Chuck moved here from Warner Robins, GA in May, 1995. They chose the Scottsboro area because they felt this was "the most beautiful area in the United States." They have no family here other than their "church family."
